About the best young scientists of BSUIR

Ladies and gentlemen! In this article, we want to introduce you to the Best Young Scientists of BSUIR at the end of 2018 and their achievements.

GENNADY PISKUN (category "Researchers")

He entered the educational institution "Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics" in 2002 for part-time education in the specialty 1-39 02 01 "Modeling and computer design of radio-electronic means" and graduated in 2008
In the fourth year, the university began to seriously engage in research in the field of thermal nonstationarity of semiconductor structures. During his studies at the university he constantly participated in scientific conferences.
In 2008 he entered the BSUIR magistracy at the department of radio-electronic means to the research supervisor PhD, associate professor Viktor Alekseev for correspondence courses. In 2009, he defended his master's thesis ahead of time on the topic: "Research into the mechanisms of aging of the IC" and received a Master of Technical Sciences diploma.
After graduation, he continued his studies at the postgraduate school of the University in the specialty 05.27.01 "Solid-state electronics, radioelectronic components, micro- and nanoelectronics, devices with quantum effects".
In 2015 he defended his thesis on the topic: "The functional and operational characteristics of microcontrollers after exposure to electrostatic discharges" and received a diploma of candidate of technical sciences. In 2016 he received the academic title of associate professor in the specialty "Electronics and Nanoelectronics".
Today he works as an associate professor of the department of designing information and computer systems.
The field of scientific activity is the study of methods for the stability of integrated circuits against electromagnetic interference. Gennady Piskun unique techniques and methods for assessing the stability of microcontrollers to electrostatic discharges are developed, based on determining the equivalent number of pulses of accumulated static electricity of opposite polarities, leading to a catastrophic failure of microcontrollers, which is a significant contribution to solving an important scientific and practical problem of predicting the performance of semiconductor structures and integral circuits when exposed to electrostatic discharges.
Successfully conducts research in the field of electrostatic discharge modeling in a gaseous environment using modern computer-aided design systems. The research results were used in the performance of Theme No. 12-2021 "Development of phenomenological models and scientific and methodological foundations of computer-aided design of radio electronic equipment, technical security and the creation of electronic security systems" (2012-201), Theme No. 17-2021 "Methods and algorithms for constructing information and computer systems" (2017-2021), as well as when working on a grant from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus for research work of students on the topic "Modeling the effects of electrostatic discharge on semiconductor devices of radio-electronic means" (2011-2012).
As part of research activities, it works closely with specialists of the Belarusian State Institute of Standardization and Certification, which is displayed in joint publications in the specialized scientific and practical journal Standardization, which is included in the List of scientific publications of the Republic of Belarus for the publication of dissertation research results.
Piskun G.A. The following works were published personally and in co-authorship: 1 monograph, 18 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission, more than 100 articles in scientific and technical international and republican scientific journals. Received 2 patents of the Republic of Belarus for inventions.
The results of research work Gennady Piskun introduced into the production and educational process, which is confirmed by 19 acts: 15 acts of implementation in production and 4 - in the educational process. The research results formed the basis of three technical diagnostics methods for integrated circuits manufactured by OJSC INTEGRAL- the management company of the INTEGRAL holding.
He took part in the work of 25 international and republican scientific and technical conferences. During his work at the department led the research activities of 23 students. Under his scientific leadership, four students took part in the XXIII Republican contest of scientific works of students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus (2016), where they were awarded diplomas of the 2nd and 3rd categories.
Successfully combines research and teaching work. He prepared for publication in co-authorship 7 methodological manuals (4 - for full-time and part-time students; 3 - for full-time and part-time students).
For high achievements in studies and research activities, he was awarded a certificate and an award from the special fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for social support of gifted students. (2011, Resolution of the special fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for social support of gifted students).
Winner of the scholarship of the President of the Republic of Belarus to talented young scientists (2014).
He was awarded the Diploma of the 1st category of the Republican contest of scientific works of students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus (2009);
Awarded with diplomas of BSUIR for scientific work of practical interest for science, technology and production.

DMITRY GVOZDOVSKY (category "PG students")

From 2012 to 2017 he studied at the Faculty of Radio Engineering and Electronics with a degree in Micro and nanoelectronic technologies and systems, in 2018 he graduated from the magistracy in Solid State Electronics, radioelectronic components, micro and nanoelectronics, devices with quantum effects, since October 2018 he is a PG student in the Department of Micro- and Nanoelectronics with a degree in Nanotechnologies and Nanomaterials in Electronics. Since the second half of 2015, he has been engaged in research activities in the Research Laboratory 4.4 "Computer-aided design of micro- and nanoelectronic systems".
